eLocker: from architecture review to a team that ships
eLocker is a cloud platform for smart lockers. I joined as a consultant and then became engineering manager, from 2020 to 2022; the contracts ran from May 2020 to July 2023.

The problem
A product with scalability problems and a team that needed to grow, at the same time.
What I did
- Analysed the project domains and proposed a new architecture to solve the scalability issues.
- Screened candidates and built the development team.
- Established engineering standards, delivery processes and quality-control workflows.
- Introduced automated testing and upgraded the task management setup.
- Managed the development of a new version of the admin panel: code quality, stakeholder expectations, deadlines.
Result
A team and a product set up to continue without me, across three years of engagement.
Stack
Konstantin is a very knowledgable, thoughtful and communicative manager and a true expert in Ruby on Rails and in solution engineering.
We hired Konstantin at a time where we needed support in growing our team and he did this with ease. We are now fully set up with a fantastic development team and a great product pretty much on the basis of the work Konstantin carried out.
I honestly could not recommend him enough and would personally encourage you to hire him for your next project — he will easily supersede your expectations.
